The SICTED quality certifications for the Axarquia-Costa del Sol have been awarded and establishments in Nerja account for 11 of the 32 certificates.
Certificate for the Municipal Tourist Office
The president of the Association of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol, Axarquia, Oscar Medina, has busy been presenting certificates from the Integrated System for Tourism Quality in Destinations (Sicted) to 35 companies and utilities in the Axarquia, one of the recipients being the Municipal Tourist Office.

Torrox Council is endeavouring to promote the SICTED certification system (Spanish Tourism Quality System) so that local companies can obtain a ‘quality certificate’ for their services. The SICTED system covers such concepts quality, competitiveness, profitability and sustainability.
