Red Cross distributes 1,000 toys in the Axarquia
The Vélez-Málaga district Red Cross distributed 1,000 toys to 250 families in the Axarquia as part of the ‘No child without a toy’ campaign for Three Kings.

The traditional Three Kings procession took place on Sunday January 5th, starting at Parque Verano Azul and slowly making its way round the streets of Nerja.

The Royal Postmen will be in Plaza España on Friday January 3rd from 17:00 and there will be entertainment by the theatre group La Carpa.
The Three Kings have been chosen
The Three Kings in Ronda have been chosen, with Martín Vivas (Asociación de Peñas de Ronda) as Melchior, Mario Lara (Asociación de la Pequeña y Mediana Empresa de Ronda) as Gaspar and Alfonso Marín (from the Brotherhoods) as Balthasar. Carmen Torres (Association of Support for People with Cancer) will be the Royal Postman.
Council ordered to compensate woman injured during Three Kings parade
Estepa Council in Sevilla province has been ordered to pay €9,951 compensation to a woman who was hit in the eye by a sweet thrown from a float during the Three Kings parade in 2009.
Tragedy at the Three Kings procession in Málaga
Tragedy at the Three Kings parade in Málaga on Saturday afternoon when a six year old boy was hit and killed by one of the floats. The incident occurred in plaza general Torrijos just before the procession started. It is thought that the youngster was reaching for a sweet that had been thrown from the float when the accident occurred.

Very good weather for the procession of the Three Kings – Los Reyes Magos – so the streets were crowded and the kids were kept busy trying to grab all the boiled sweets being hurled from the various floats.

The Three Kings – Los Reyes Magos – procession takes place tomorrow, Thursday January 5th, from 17:00 and the route is: parque Verano Azul, calle Jaén, Diputación, Granada, San Miguel, plaza de Cantarero, Pintada and on to the Paseo Balcón de Europa. In Maro, the Three Kings procession will be at midday on January 6th.
