According to the Municipal Tourism office, Nerja hotels and hostels have a had a highly succesful Easter holiday with occupancy up to 96% of the total capacity from Friday to Sunday.
The entire week of “semana santa” witnessed an occupancy of 90%, the best seen for a long time. The mayor of Nerja said that this was a clear sign of recuperation in the general economy. He noted that Nerja continues to increase in popularity as a first class destination.
