BAD WEATHER RETURNS

After a brief respite, the bad weather has returned to the coast, forcing the cancellation of ferries and the closing of the ski station in Granada.

High winds in the Straits of Gibraltar, gusting up to 80 kph, have forced the cancellation of all high-speed ferry crossing, namely those operated by Acciona Trasmediterránea, Euroferrys, Buquebús and Balearia.

After only two days breather, the Málaga beaches are taking another pounding, adding to the damage caused by last week’s storms, rough seas and high winds.

In Granada province, the Sierra Nevada ski station has had to be closed yet again due to high winds and generally dangerous skiing conditions.
