After a break due to the recent bad weather, unauthorised travel between North Africa and Anywhere in Andalucía has resumed.
A boat carrying 16 illegal immigrants was spotted by a merchant vessel about 28 miles southeast of Cabo de Gata, Almería, and later intercepted by Guardia Civil and Marine Rescue boats.
The occupants, all found to be in good health, are now enjoying the hospitality of the authorities in Almería pending repatriation.
