As expected, José Luís Rodriguez Zapatero was sworn in as President of the Government having obtained a simple majority in the second vote of confidence.
The Socialist group of 169 deputies were enough to see him safely through. As was the case two days ago in the first round, members of the CiU, PNV, IU, ICV, BNG, CC and Na Bai abstained and the PP, ERC and UPyD (158 members), naturally, voted ‘no’.
