The Guardia Civil has arrested six people in Alhaurín de la Torre who are are believed to have been responsible for at least a dozen robberies in the area.
The residents of Alhaurín de la Torre have been complaining for a long time about a spate of robberies in the area and even went so far as to set up their own neighbourhood security patrols. It almost seemed like the robbers were queuing up to rob chalets, villas and cars with one local resident having suffered three robberies at his home.
This is the second Guardia Civil operation in the area in the past few months with five robbers having been apprehended in March.
