The UGT has requested the intervention of the Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales (CEOE) – the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations – in order to resolve a dispute involving 1,500 transport workers who have initiated strike action.

The strikes, which began on Saturday, will cause even more disruption today as school bus services will also be affected. Further industrial action is planned for June 7th, 8th ,9th ,14th ,15th ,21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th.
