More than 200 police officers have this morning taken part in an operation against the Russian mafia in Spain and, in particular, along the Costa del Sol.
The operation is being coordinated by National Court judge Baltasar Garzón and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor with the National Police making numerous arrests in Alicante, Málaga, Barcelona, Madrid and the Balearic Islands.
The detainees are charged with money laundering and arms trafficking.
