With work on calle Carabeo, Nerja, at the ‘finishing touches’ stage, time to have a look.
Phase One, covering a 300 metre stretch of calle Carabeo at the Balcón de Eutopa end, was supposed to be finished by Easter. It is now July and the ‘finishing touches’ are now being applied.
Although not today, no sign of any workmen anywhere in the vicinity, immediate or otherwise. However, everything has been filled in and the whole street is once again passable. The only real signs are barriers at the beginning and end of the works area, but these are no hindrance to pedestrian traffic.
One has to assume that the ‘finishing touches’ refer to doing something with the numerous protruberances along the entire length of the completed stretch.
The whole four-phase project is currently scheduled for completion in 2010…
