The Local Police in Nerja have been cracking down on illegal street vendors during the past few days.
Local Police officers have been targeting illegal and unlicensed street vendors during the past few days, stopping over twenty people and actually arresting three of them.
The operation has been carried out all over town, from Burriana beach to calle Pintada and all points in between.
The police have confiscated numerous articles, such as watches, sunglasses, bracelets etc, most of which are counterfeit copies of well-known brands, as well as a pile of illegal cd’s and dvd’s.
Two of those arrested were charged with crimes against intellectual property, having being caught in possession of over 500 hooky cd’s and dvd’s.
