Frigiliana Council is to initiate an awareness campaign to stress the importance of a more rational use of water during periods of drought.
The Mesa del Agua (Water Bureau), a body set up to analyse the current water resources and to suggest actions to improve the situation, held its first meeting the other day. Those who attented the meeting included representatives of various political parties and the presidents of the organisations who supply water to the municipality, Pozo Lizar, el Molino and SAT Monta Ariza.
One of the proposals was for an information campaign to raise awareness regarding the rational use of the precious water supply during periods of drought. The Friciliana Council is set to intiatate such a campaign in the next few days.
