A girl of about eleven years was found dead late on Saturday evening at her home in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria.
The girl, of Korean origin, was home alone at the time of the crime and her body was discovered by her father when he returned to the house, number 215 Plaza de Manuel Becerra in the La Isleta district. The house is two floors with a shop on the ground floor run by the father of the dead girl.
The police are carrying out an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the girl, an incident which has shocked the large local Korean community.
