A couple. both Paraguayan nationals, have been detained in Fuengirola on suspicion of child abuse.
The baby, aged eighteen months, was taken to the Hospital Materno Infantil in Málaga suffering from head injuries and bruising. The paeditrician who examined the child came to the conclusion that the injuries, over the whole body, were consistent with possible abuse and called the police.
The couple were then detained and the National Police are now carrying out a full investigation.
