Real Madrid suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Valladolid in a somewhat lack-lustre affair, neither side seemingly keen to attack or even capable of stringing a few decent passes together.
Valladolid were content to continually give the ball away and Madrid were equally content not to do anything with it once they got possession. The only goal of the match was scored by Uraguayan Fabian Canobbio.
