According to the November census figures, there are now 22,167 people registered as residents, with 6,663 (30%) being foreigners.
Of the foreign population, who are from 75 different countries, around 35% are in the age group 60 years to 80 years. The number under 20 years of age is on the rise, this group now making up 13% of the foreign population. There are also five foreign residents over the age of 95 years.
