Now there’s a nice gesture. The €6,000 that Fuengirola Council had planned to spend on the annual Christmas gifts for employees will now be used to buy toys to be distributed amongst the poorer families in the municipality.
The initiative will benefit around 100 families, with the toys going to children between the ages of three and thirteen years. All the families concerned are currently involved in various programmes run by the Department of Social Services.
