Sierra Nevada ski station opens up 90 kilometres of pistes

The Sierra Nevada ski station in Granada now has 90 kilometres of skiable slopes open, a record for the resort.

There are 98 pistes open, with good quality powder snow up to three metres deep, and 20 lifts are operating.

As from Saturday, night skiing will be possible from 19:30 to 21:30 and, weather permitting, the Telecabina Al-Andalus will remain open on Saturdays.

The management of the resort, Cetursa, are anticipating a 75% occupancy rate for the hotels during this coming weekend.
