Fifty-five year old P.M.G. had spent years sleeping in the archways around Plaza de la Soledad during the night and selling flowers in calle Concepción during the day, obviously causing no trouble to anyone.
Yet yesterday afternoon, in broad daylight, he was dealt a severe blow to the head from which he died. The police in Huelva are busy searching the area for clues and trying to trace possible witnesses.
The body was discovered by passers-by.
