A woman died yesterday afternoon at her home in Torá, allegedly at the hands of her husband.
The couple, both Spanish, had no history of violence or any kind of abuse yet, after an argument, the husband ended up killing his wife. The husband informed the police of what he had done and later made a confession.
This latest case of domestic violence comes two days after a man in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona) killed his ex-wife and then committed suicide by placing a plastic bag over his head.
This brings the total number of fatalities as a result of domestic violence in Cataluña this year to nine.
