The Council has rejected an Opposition PSOE motion to financially assist the businesses in calle Carabeo who suffered economically as a result of the roadworks carried out in the street.
The first phase of the calle Carabeo roadworks took twice as long as had been estimated, six months instead of three, and there are still three more phases to go!
The works were divided into four phases in order to reduce the effect on local residents, businesses and tourists, but there are rumours that these could be rebundled into one long project with no break after each one!
