The new, revised PGOU for Torrox includes includes plans for an extensive network of bicycle lanes, up to 15 kilometres in total.
The new PGOU was provisionally approved on December 30th by the ruling tripartite government team, UI, PSAand PIU, with the PP and PSOE abstaining. Full approval is expected by the end of this month.
Also included in the new PGOU are 2,200 new homes (in addition to the 10,800 still to be developed from the previous plan), a road from east to west, two major industrial areas, four ‘green’ areas, three sports complexes, a tourism centre and three bus stations.
