Restricted access to Camino de Algarrobo in Vélez-Málaga

Part of the Camino de Algarrobo in Vélez-Málaga, which runs between the sports complex and the road to Arenas, will be closed as from today due to works being carried out on the Rio Romero.

The road was originally due to be closed on Jan 11th, but rains forced a delay in proceedings.

The Local Police have organised several alternative routes.

Vehicles from Arenas and the north of Vélez-Málaga can access the Camino de Algarrobo via calle Pilar de San Roque to Capuchinos.

From central Vélez, access is through avenida Vivar Téllez, calle Clavel, Ronda de Andalucía and calle Pablo Iglesias.

From Caleta de Vélez, access is either by way of avenida Vivar Téllez and calle Pablo Iglesias or, alternatively, from the roundabout by the San Antonio de Padua church and up towards Plaza Ecce Homo.
