A settling of accounts, perhaps drugs related, is believed to have been the cause of the death of a 31 year old woman in Mairena del Aljarafe, Sevilla.
The most reliable version of events indicates that the husband of the deceased was being chased by four youths and ran to his home in calle san Isidro Labrador.
The youths came in search and forced their way into the house. The man’s wife tried to stop them getting at her husband and, as a result, received a stab wound to the heart.
The youths then fled the scene in a Renault Scenic, leaving the woman mortally wounded.
The whole incident was witnessed by the couple’s 12 year old son who, as a result, needed psychological counseling. The husband required treatment for various cuts to the face.
