Wins for Real and Málaga, a draw for Nerja

Real Madrid are back up to second place in Lal Liga, but they had to come back from a goal down to do it.

Nejounam put the visitors, Osasuna, ahead in the 19th minute in a game which saw the issuing of seven yellow cards and one red one. Osasuna’s Juanfran was given his marching orders in the 83rd minute after a second yellow card.

Sergio Ramos scored the equaliser, a long shot which rather fortuitously bounced through the waiting hands of the keeper. Higuain made it 2-1 and in the 92nd minute, Robben scored to put the result beyond doubt.

Valencia suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Athletic Bilbao, the decider, a 91st minute penalty scored by Llorente.

David Villa, who else, gave Valencia the lead after only two minutes, but Gabilondo pulled it back for Athletic twelve minutes later. Morientes retored Valencia’s lead but, again, it was short-lived, Javi Martínez heading in a free kick a few minutes before the break.

Then it was no more goals until injury time, Llorente slotting the ball home from the penalty spot.

The Blue and Whites were on form again, carrying on their good little run with a 4-0 win against Espanyol.

Adrián opened the scoring after 35 minutes and then came two penalty decisions, both in favour of Málaga C.F. Apoño converted the first one, Baha the second. Albert Luque made it four in the 92nd minute, picking up a rebound and whacking it into the net.

Villarreal overcame Mallorca 2-0, Capdevila and Rossi (penalty) getting the goals.

In the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3, Nerja drew 0-0 with Dos Hermanos S. Andres and remain in third place.

Álcala C.F. returned to the league, but probably wished they hadn’t, and were duly hammered 1-5 by leaders Mancha Real. Second placed El Palo were 0-1 winners against Baeza C.F.
