Work on the Hermanas del Buen Samaritano (Sisters of the Good Samaritan) residential home for the sick and elderly has been stalled for some time now, but things are about to get moving again.
The project was started in 2001, but financing has always been a problem. There have been contributions from the Council, the Nerja Caves Foundation, the Ministry of Labour and various local individuals and businesses.
Now, a €1.5 million loan from the Cajamar bank should see the project completed within the next twelve months.
