Around one hundred people were left stranded in an area of Casabemerja last night after the río Guadalmedina burst its banks.
The heavy rains caused the river to rise above the level of the bridge leading to urbanisation El Alcaide and the rural area of Los Portales.
The residents are none too happy about the situation in the area because it happens every time there is heavy rain and they believe the Council should actually do something to prevent it happening in the future.
