During the latest FITUR tourism exhibition, Nerja received its two ‘Q’ for Tourism Quality awards, one for Burriana beach and the other for the new Tourist Office.
The ‘Q for Quality’ award is an annual affair decided by the Calidad Turística Española department of the Ministry of Tourism.
Burriana beach received the award, again, based on cleanliness, water quality, available services, security, surveillance, sand quality and accessibility.
The Tourist Office, gaining the award for the first time, was judged on, amongst other things, location, quality of its facilities and customer service.
