The Junta de Andalucía has announced immediate’ help to those who were affected by the recent tornado but were not covered by insurance. This particularly affects those in the San Andrés area of Málaga.
A total of €600,000 has been made available for repairs to damaged houses, particularly rooves. Of 59 communities in San Andrés, 15 were not insured.
Those who were insured just need to contact the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros, those who were not need to contact a contractor and work will begin immediately.
The work will be in three stages. First, covering the roof to prevent rain getting in, second to remove the damaged sections and finally, the placing of a new roof.
