The Minister for Health and Consumer Affairs, Bernat Soria, has said that the Government is quite ready to see a return to the two-monthly billing system for electricity if the electricity company fail to get their act together and the high volume of complaints continue.
Complaints of irregularities in billing since the change to a monthly billing system are becoming a concern to the Government, some calling the current system a ‘fudge’ based upon estimates rather than actual readings.
The Minister pointed out that the autonomous regional authorities have the power to address the complaints and also the right to demand to see power company records if necessary.
