The Blue and Whites were two goals up at half-time against local rivals Sevilla but ended up sharing the points, the final score 2-2.
First half goals from Salva and Vialco put Málaga in the driving seat as they aim for a Champions League spot, but second half strikes from Kanouté and Fabiano meant that the points were shared. The Blue and Whites are in fifth place and Sevilla look quite secure in third position.
In the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3, Nerja shared the points with Torremolinos in a 2-2 draw and stay fourth in the table, still with a game in hand though.
Leaders Mancha Real moved ten points clear after beating second placed El Palo 3-0. Bottom club Alcalá lost again but did manage to restrict the opposition, La Puerta CD, to a mere four goals.
