Barcelona draw, Nerja and Málaga win

Barcelona now just need one point from their last three games to clinch the La Liga title after a 3-3 draw with Villarreal.

Barcelona were 3-1 up and cruising until Eric Abidal was sent off in the 78th minute and then two late goals, the last one from Joseba Llorente in injury time, earned Villarreal a draw. A win would have seen Barca crowned champions following Real’s defeat on Saturday, but they’ll now have to wait a little bit longer.

The Blue and Whites overcame Racing Santander thanks to a late penalty, Luque stepping up to score from the spot. Málaga remain in eighth place, just a couple of points away from a UEFA Cup spot for next season. Still possible, but a lot will depend on the teams above them slipping up.

In the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3, CD Nerja were 2-1 winners over visiting Atletico Benamiel. Nerja are fourth in the league, two points adrift of Martos CD. However, there is only one more match to play, away to Fuengirola. The only hope is that Martos CD slip up on their visit to second placed El Palo.
