Guardia Civil officers rescued a group of scouts who became lost on Mount La Maroma near Alcaucín on Saturday.
Four hours after receiving a call for help, Guardia Civil officers located the group of boys. However, it was 23:30 and dark, and rather than attempt to leave the area in the pitch black, the officers remained with the group overnight on the mountain and brought them to safety on Sunday morning.
One of the boys, a 15 year old, was said to have been a little ‘fatigued’, but recovered well after being given energy bars and a blanket to keep him warm.
