Torrox Council is still looking to try and raise €500,000 to complete the swimming pool located by the La Granja sports complex.
Work on the project ceased over two years ago after the company contracted to carry out the job went bankrupt. The Council are looking to include the project under a Plan Especial de Infraestructuras (Special Infrastructure Plan) so that work on the swimming pool can resume in the summer (??) and be completed early next year.
Parts of the original project, such as a spa and saunas are likely to be deleted in an effort to reduce the costs of the works.
