The Paseo de los Carabineros remains closed, but it is only blocked off at certain points and is used by many people to access some of the little coves between Calahonda and Carabeo beaches. Hopefully they will get round to re-opening it one day as it is a nice walk.
One of the downsides of the walkway being ‘officially’ closed is that the municipal cleaning services don’t get down that way very often. The good news. or as good as it gets, is that people do, in general, seem to be sealing rubbish in bags. It does niff a bit, your first thought when you come across it is that you must have taken a wrong turning and ended up on calle Carabeo.
It would be much better, though, if people took their rubbish away with them as they undoubtedly know the area is not cleaned!
