A 33 year old woman in Málaga has become the second Influenza A related fatality in the province and the twenty-eighth in Spain.
The woman was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Málaga’s Carlos Haya hospital several days ago.
Influenza A was not the direct cause of death, as in most cases, but was a contributory factor. This woman was in one of the so-called ‘risk groups’ and her illnesses included morbid obesity.
