The Cultural Department of Torrox Council has received two grants totalling €18,000, part of this sum going towards the cost of a new library.
The grants will be used both for improvements to the municipal archives and towards the setting up of a library in the new multi-purpose building near the roundabout at the entrance to Tottox Costa. This building, finally completed after many delays, also houses the new tourist office.
The new library is expected to open next April.
