Guardia Civil and Marine Rescue officers in Almuñécar rescued a disoriented dolphin today close to the Peñón de San Cristóbal beach.
The poor thing was first spotted by SEPRONA officers. The dolphin was swimming in circles and looked disoriented. The Guardia Civil vessel ‘Río Aragón’ was summoned to the scene and they ushered the stricken beast to the shore where help was at hand.
The dolphin had not suffered any apparent injuries and all was well that ended well.
