Real lose to Sevilla

Real Madrid travelled to Sevilla at the weekend and came away empty handed, losing 2-1.

A lapse in the Real defence saw Jesús Navas head home with thirty minutes on the clock and it was only some good saves from Casillas that prevented  Sevilla from scoring a couple more.

At the beginning of the second half, Pepe grabbed an equaliser, heading in a Guti free kick but Renato struck in the 69th minute to give Sevilla the three points and take them level with Real in La Liga.

Málaga’s poor start to the season continued, although at least they didn’t lose this time. Travelling to Xerez, the Blue and Whites found themselves a goal down after Armenteros scored just after the start of the second half.

Obinna saved the day for Málaga in the 83rd minute, his long shot beating the Xerez keeper. However, not the best of days for Obinna, he was given his marching orders in the 92nd minute and the Blue and Whites finished the match with ten men.
