A man of Argentinian origin was arrested on Monday afternoon in Vélez-Málaga after failing to heed a pedestrian crossing and running down a 75 year old woman.
The incident happened at 16:45 on avenida Vivar Téllez as the woman was crossing the road. The woman was rendered unconscious by the impact and is currently in hospital and under observation, the prognosis being described as ‘reserved’.
The driver was arrested and taken to the police station to be breathalised and charged.
