The new fire station complex in Archidona could be in service by May 2010 according to the Local Council.
The project, with a budget of €697,444 funded by the Ministry of Interior of the Junta de Andalucia, is currently around 25% complete which, according to the authorities, means it could be ready next May.
It is a Type C fire park on a plot of land of 2,802 square metres with a three storey building occupying 736.83 square metres. There will be 15 firefighters and they will cover not only Archidona but also Villanueva de Algaidas, Villanueva de Tapia, Villanueva del Trabuco and Villanueva del Rosario.
