A woman filed a robbery complaint at a police station in Ronda, claiming to have been the victim of a bag snatching at the train station.
The woman described the event in great detail, even providing descriptions of her attackers and indicating that one of them was a foreigner.
It turned out, however, that the woman had fabricated the whole story and she was arrested for making a false statement. In reality, she was late paying an electricity bill and wanted to use the story as an excuse to the electricity company so as to avoid being cut off.
