Christmas events

Saturday December 19th is Carol singing (and she has a good voice) at the Bar Barbados in calle Fray Junipero Serra. More Carols at the El Salvador Church on the Balcon de Europa on Sunday December 20th at 17:00.

On December 23rd at 19:00, Santa Claus takes to the streets. The route is Plaza de La Marina , Castilla Pérez, Diputación, Granada, Plaza de la Ermita, La Cruz, Pintada and Paseo Balcon de Europa

On December 24th at midnight is the traditional Midnight Mass at the El Salvador Church.

On December 25th at 12:00 is the Christmas Mass sung by the Peña Nerja Pastoral Choir, also at the El Salvador Church.

On December 26th at 16:00 there are more carols, this time courtesy of the Anglican Church. This takes place on the Paseo Balcon de Europa.

On December 28th there is a parade and party for the kids on the Paseo Balcon de Europa with the group La Carpa and it starts at 18:00.

The New Year celebrations will, despite all the various building works, take place on the Balcon de Europa as per normal. Entertainment will be by the group Fates Negros.

On January 2nd, the Royal Postmen make their rounds collecting letters for the Three Kings, the route being Plaza de la Ermita, San Miguel, Plaza Cantarero, Méndez Núñez, Bronce, La Cruz, Pintada and Paseo Balcon de Europa.

On January 5th, the Three Kings will make their way through town, starting in Parque Verano Azul at 17:00 (Spanish time!!) and following the route Jaén, Diputación, Granada, San Miguel, Plaza Cantarero, Pintada and ending on the Paseo Balcon de Europa.
