An inspection of the Panamanian-flagged ship the ‘Rhea’, which ran aground on El Rinconcillo beach in Algerias, has resulted in a list of twenty-four serious faults or deficiencies with the vessel.
The ship, which ran aground during a storm, was eventually re-floated on Saturday and towed to the port of Algeciras for inspection.
The procedure obliges the owner of the vessel to carry out a full check on the ship.
