Police are investigating the death of lawyer and former UCD politician Fernando Jurado whose body was found in a remote mountain area near Pegalajar, Jaén.
The body was found on Thursday in a remote area, not easily accessible even with a jeep. Jurado, aged 60 years, had suffered in the region of 20 stab wounds and it is thought that several attackers were involved.
The death occurred during the early evening of Wednesday. When Jurado failed to return home by 09:00 on Thursday morning, his family notified the police and a search was started.
The police are combing the area for clues and for the murder weapon.
