Late last night, several people called the police to report that a truck had caught fire at km 220 on the A-7 in Benalmadena and an investigation has begun after a charred body was found in the engine compartment.
The truck had come from Tangier by way of Algeciras. During its passage through Benalmadena the truck caught fire and when police officers checked the vehicle they found the charred remains of a person in the engine well.
The driver of the truck was uninjured in the incident.
