Spring is in the air and, as happens every year, young people are gathering in several cities for impromptu ‘botellóns’ – street drinking parties – organised via the social network TUENTI.
In Granada, around 10,000 people have so far congregated in the ‘botellódromo’, the only area of the town where such events are permitted, and no incidents have been reported.
Thousands have also gathered in Sevilla in what is generally a prelude to the Sevilla Spring Fair, a major celebration in Andalucia.
