At the time of the unrest in Iran last year and the protests on the streets, much was said about the influence of social media site Twitter in events and the reporting of incidents.
Many tweeters changed their base address to Tehran to try and confuse the authorities and the amount of information coming out of Iran was prodigious. But did Twitter actually have that much of an impact on events?
