On Sunday afternoon, Guardia Civil officers discovered the bodies of a couple in a car near Lucainena de las Torres in the Los Tostones park. Both had been shot.
The couple left their home in Benahadux, Almeria, on Saturday evening to go out to dinner but never returned. The children notified the authorities and police began a search of the village.
The bodies were found in the afternoon, both suffering from gunshot wounds, and police are trying to piece together the events that led to their deaths.
Initial indications are that it could be a case of gender violence.
