The first phase of infrastructure works in calle Puente Viejo are almost finished and should be completed at the end of this week. The next stage is to commence construction of the new Health Centre itself.
The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, stated that the Council has fulfilled its commitment as regards water supply, sanitation and electricity on the3 plot of land and there is now nothing to stop the Ministry of Health from building the actual centre.
The Mayor will be extending an invitation to the Health delegate, María Antigua Escalera, to visit the site along with technicians.
The Mayor added that once construction begins, the Council will initiate the second phase of urbanisation works in the area.
